fuckyeahnervoussystem: Alzheimer’s disease brain. by AJC1 Was JUST trying to describe this to a friend, this evening! Now I’ve got the photo to send. Saw one of these in person (out of person for the unlucky lady) my first year at wellesley…the gyri are super pronounced and the sulci are shallow, can be full of plaques. With the enlarged ventricles it all looks more emaciated, jagged. I can’t adequately put into words the jarring feeling it elicits, to look at such an unhealthy brain. It’s strange to look at/hold any human brain, though. Still a little fear of mine, to be honest
